Inkwell Director Sam Siske is embarking on his next filmmaking journey. This time, his hero will journey into a space for an awesome, yet untitled, sci-fi project. Sam’s going to keep you posted along the way with updates (and maybe some images to set the mood). Here’s what he’s able to let you in on so far …
A space pilot enters a storm and crash-lands on a desert world. With a damaged suit and a limited oxygen supply, he begins to search for rescue. On his journey he must not only face the possibility of death but also the guilt of his past.
What movies is it a mash up between?
This short film will be my love letter to science fiction and how it, as a genre, can speak to our own personal journeys through life. Like some of the best science fiction books and films, it is ultimately about what it means to be human.
Any other production notes you'd like to share?
Looking to shoot this year. Ben Skipworth will produce. Eying locations in Nashville and Utah. I'm excited to take a narrative project on the road for the first time in my career.
